Job Description Evelyn’s Park Programs Coordinator – Part Time

Creates, directs and coordinates weekly and annual programs for Evelyn’s Park. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Promotes a vibrant, unparalleled program experience for park guests.
2. Develops programs for the park including weekly and quarterly community events including gala and music fest.
3. Answers all programming inquiries in a timely manner.
4. Manages online programs calendar.
5. Trains and maintains appropriate list of available volunteers including teen ambassadors.
6. Researches and recommends preferred vendors to Park Director.
7. Is available to work irregular schedule as required ensuring proper coordination and programing scheduled in the park.
8. Acts as face of park during events.
9. Designs, recommends, and executes marketing plan for programs.
10. Generates budget and actuals for programs.
11. Constructs sponsorship packages, and generates sponsors needed for program budgets.
12. Assists park director with receipts, expenses, funding, budget, records and similar aspects to keep programs profitable.
13. Investigates complaints regarding programming and handles such problems in a professional and satisfactory manner.
14. Assure the property is maintained in excellent condition by partnering with City of Bellaire parks management team, and outside vendors.
15. Creates monthly program reports and updates for director to report at board meetings.
16. Performs other duties as assigned by the Park Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge of business management practices and procedures.
2. Ability to compile and maintain records for personnel scheduling, and event scheduling.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) software programs.
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make proper decisions in handling incidents at all types of programs.
5. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
6. Proven ability to deal in a professional and cordial manner with the public attending events.
7. Capacity to plan, service and supervise a variety of programs.
8. Anticipate equipment and other needs for individual programs.
9. Strong attention to detail and passion for customer service.
