We are  currently hiring for a staff position at Evelyn’s Park.

Job Description for part time bookkeeper:

Evelyn’s Park Conservancy is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Record deposits and expenses monthly into quickbooks - including information from credit card and PayPal transactions
  • Coordinate bank deposits and track bank account balances
  • Pay vendor invoices, monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
  • Maintain donor database, record donations and other information, Create donor
  • acknowledgement/receipts (DonorSnap)
  • The position is estimated to require 10-15 hours per week.



Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

Five years experience working in book keeping or accounting role, with demonstrated experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation

Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks

Experience in services related to payroll

Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
